The Grupel GRGR35 35kVA 3-Phase Diesel Generator stands at the forefront of the Grupel Smart Range, engineered to deliver unwavering reliability in both standby and prime power scenarios. Whether you require backup power for critical infrastructure or a primary energy source in off-grid environments, this 35kVA diesel generator combines robust engineering, advanced noise suppression, and extended runtime capabilities to meet the most demanding industrial, commercial, and institutional needs.

Technical Specifications & Performance

  • Standby Power: 35kVA / 28kW
  • Prime Power: 31kVA / 25kW
  • Engine Speed: 1500 RPM (optimized for 50Hz output)
  • Phase Configuration: 3-Phase (ideal for heavy-duty equipment and commercial facilities)
  • Alternator: Grupel 184GB31 (Class H insulation, brushless design for durability)
  • Controller: Grupel G545 (user-friendly interface with real-time diagnostics)

Designed to operate seamlessly in harsh conditions, the GRGR35 achieves optimal fuel efficiency at 1500 RPM, reducing wear while maintaining consistent voltage regulation. Its 3-phase output ensures compatibility with industrial machinery, data centres, healthcare facilities, and construction sites, where balanced power distribution is critical.

Standby vs. Prime Power: Precision Engineering for Versatility

The 35kVA genset distinguishes itself with dual power ratings:

  • Standby Power (35kVA/28kW): Perfect for emergency backup during grid outages, supporting critical systems like HVAC, servers, or medical equipment.
  • Prime Power (31kVA/25kW): Engineered for continuous operation in remote locations, such as mining sites or agricultural operations, where mains power is unavailable.

Compared to smaller units (20–30kVA), the GRGR35 offers 15–30% greater output, making it ideal for mid-sized operations. Conversely, larger 40–50kVA generators may provide higher capacity but lack the GRGR35’s compact design and fuel efficiency, which is critical for space-constrained sites.

Acoustic Canopy Design: Quiet Operation at 71 dB(A)

Featuring a close-fitting acoustic canopy, this 35kVA 3-phase diesel generator operates at just 71 dB(A) at 7 meters significantly quieter than standard open-frame models. This makes it suitable for urban environments, hospitals, or event venues where noise pollution must be minimized. Competitors’ equivalent models often exceed 75 dB(A), underscoring Grupel’s focus on user comfort and compliance with strict noise regulations.

55-Litre Bunded Fuel Tank: Extended Runtime, Reduced Downtime

The GRGR35’s 55-litre bunded fuel tank ensures up to 8.8 hours of continuous operation at 75% load (prime power), reducing the need for frequent refueling. The bunded design adds a secondary containment layer, preventing spills and adhering to environmental safety standards. In contrast, smaller generators (e.g., 20kVA) often require refueling every 6 hours, disrupting operations during prolonged outages.

Standby-Ready Features: Engineered for Immediate Deployment

Pre-installed engine coolant heaters and battery chargers ensure the GRGR35 is always primed for instant activation. The coolant heater maintains optimal engine temperature in cold climates, while the battery charger guarantees reliable starts features often sold as extras in competing models. This plug-and-play readiness is invaluable for facilities like data centres or hospitals, where every second of downtime carries significant risk.

Grupel 184GB31 Alternator & G545 Controller: Reliability Meets Innovation

  • Grupel 184GB31 Alternator: Built with Class H insulation (resistant to temperatures up to 180°C) and a brushless design, this alternator delivers exceptional voltage stability (±1%) even under fluctuating loads.
  • Grupel G545 Controller: Offers advanced monitoring, including fuel levels, battery voltage, and runtime, with automatic shutdown for faults like low oil pressure or overheating.

These components outperform generic alternatives, which often lack the same precision and durability, particularly in extreme environments.

2-Year/2000-Hour Warranty: Fully Supported in the UK

Backed by a comprehensive 2-year or 2000-hour warranty (whichever comes first), the GRGR35 is fully supported by Hampshire Generators, Grupel’s UK partner. This includes nationwide servicing, genuine parts access, and technical assistance a critical advantage over imports with limited local support.

Hampshire Generators can also maintain your generator with a regular cost-effective service plan or one-off visit. Simply call 01329 722390 or inquire via contact us page for more information.

Why Choose a 35kVA Diesel Generator?

  • Balanced Power Output: Bridges the gap between smaller units (insufficient for industrial loads) and larger gensets (cost-prohibitive for mid-sized needs).
  • 3-Phase Advantage: Essential for powering motors, pumps, and machinery in factories, workshops, or farms.
  • Fuel Efficiency: Consumes ~6.2 litres/hour at 75% load, compared to 6+ litres for 40kVA+ models.

Grupel GRGR35 35kVA 3-Phase Diesel Generator: Uncompromising Power for Critical Applications

The Grupel GRGR35 35kVA 3-Phase Diesel Generator redefines reliability with its blend of power density, acoustic performance, and standby-ready features. Whether safeguarding critical infrastructure or powering remote operations, its engineering excellence coupled with Hampshire Generators’ local expertise makes it the optimal investment for businesses prioritizing uptime, safety, and compliance.

When will I receive my order?

In most cases, a product on our website will give you an indication of the current stock availability, but shipping is not uniform for all products. We maintain fantastic relationships with all of our suppliers and we aim to get products to customers within 3 business days of the order being taken. This availability is based on information from our suppliers and from sales and supply patterns. The availability information given is a guide only and not a guarantee as there are external factors that we may not have control over.

Coronavirus Update – UK couriers and transport companies will not currently guarantee delivery times and we are seeing a slight delay in deliveries – please bear this in mind when ordering.

Specialist Couriers – Some items such as the larger portable power stations are sent by specialist courier as standard couriers will not accept them. These specialist couriers are very reliable but sometimes don’t have tracking or timed delivery.

Split deliveries – We sometimes need to send orders for more than one item by different courier networks (portable power stations for example) – so you may receive items at different times.

1500rpm machines or larger diesel gensets however are typically priced on application and all depend on the destination. We will be happy to quote on any large diesel generator and discuss your needs over the phone or via email.

Most orders placed before 12pm on a business day will be shipped from our suppliers on the same day provided the product is in stock. If you need to be certain an item is in stock and available, or if you need a lead time, it’s worth calling our sales team on 01329 722390. Pricing for extended shipping areas like Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and outlying Islands, Outer Hebrides, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, and other postcodes not considered as UK mainland can be obtained also by calling our offices.

Please note that the processing of a payment and acknowledgement email does not constitute a legally binding contact. In the case of mispricing, changes in stock quantity, or if we believe the machine will be misused, we reserve the right to cancel the order and provide a full refund.

Heavy Items

You will be contacted by phone after ordering a larger item to confirm a delivery date before your order is dispatched. Large or heavy items are dispatched through a pallet network, so if we can’t get in contact with you, we may be unable to send out your item on a next day delivery. Please be sure to include a working phone number with your order.

Heavy items will require the recipient to make arrangements to take delivery of the goods and may require the recipient to help the courier unload the item. For items that are delivered on a pallet the courier will leave the pallet as close to your door as possible.

1500rpm diesel generators will require forklift (or similar) offloading; if this is not available then we can arrange a Hiab offload at an additional price – please call us to discuss any delivery requirements.
