Eliminate Downtime with a 5.4kW Portable Petrol Generator Built for Continuity

Power failures don’t announce themselves. One moment, your operations are running smoothly; the next, critical systems falter, deadlines slip, and revenue leaks away. Whether you’re managing an outdoor event, overseeing a construction site, or ensuring business continuity during grid instability, the cost of unexpected power loss is steep. The Pramac PX8000 5.4kW petrol generator is engineered to remove that risk. With 5.4kW of standby power and 4.5kW of continuous output, it delivers the capacity to keep essential equipment running, no matter what stands in your way.

This isn’t just another portable generator, it’s a mission-critical safeguard designed to protect your operations when reliability matters most.

Why Standard Generators Fail When You Need Them Most

Most portable generators cut corners where it counts. They’re loud, cumbersome, and underpowered, leaving you vulnerable when you can least afford it. The hidden costs of a subpar generator include:

  • Unplanned downtime during peak demand, costing thousands in lost productivity.
  • Compliance risks if backup power fails to meet industry or safety standards.
  • Noise complaints that disrupt events, alienate neighbours, or violate local regulations.
  • Fuel inefficiency that forces costly refuelling stops or unexpected maintenance.
  • Bulky, fragile designs that slow deployment and increase the risk of damage.

These aren’t hypotheticals, they’re real-world failures that turn a backup power source into a liability. The Pramac PX8000 was built to eliminate those risks.

Unmatched Power Output: 5.4kW Standby, 4.5kW Continuous

When the grid flickers or fails, you need a generator that can shoulder the load without hesitation. The Pramac PX8000 delivers 5.4kW of surge power and 4.5kW of continuous output, ensuring your essential systems, including lighting, refrigeration, or power tools, stay online. Unlike underpowered alternatives, this generator handles high-demand applications with ease, from construction sites to emergency response centres.

With the PX8000, there will be no more rationing power or scrambling for additional units. Your operations will run uninterrupted, compliance will be maintained, and reputational damage avoided.

The SR190F Engine: Built for Endurance, Not Just Operation

Not all engines are created equal. The SR190F petrol engine is a workhorse designed for long-duration reliability, with a 3000 rpm operating speed that ensures consistent performance under load. Its air-cooled design eliminates the complexity and maintenance demands of liquid cooling, reducing downtime and extending service life.

This means fewer breakdowns, lower maintenance costs, and a generator that’s ready when you are.

Instant Start, Zero Compromise: Electric or Recoil Activation

Every second counts when power fails. The Pramac PX8000 offers both electric and recoil start options, allowing you to deploy power in seconds. No fumbling with pull cords, no delays. The electric start is ideal for rapid response, while the recoil option ensures redundancy if batteries are depleted. Faster response times mean less downtime, safer operations, and smoother compliance with emergency protocols.

Silent but Mighty: Just 69dBA at 7 Metres

Noise isn’t just an annoyance, it’s a liability. Traditional generators disrupt events, violate noise ordinances, and create hostile work environments. The Pramac PX8000 operates at just 69dBA from 7 metres away, making it one of the quietest generators in its class. Whether you’re powering a construction site, a film shoot, or a residential backup system, you won’t have to choose between power and peace.

Designed for Deployment: Compact, Portable, and Tough

A generator that’s difficult to transport is a generator that won’t be there when you need it. The Pramac PX8000 features a compact, durable design with an integrated handle and wheels, allowing one person to move it effortlessly across rough terrain or tight spaces. Its robust construction resists weather, impacts, and the rigours of daily use. No more wrestling with heavy equipment or relying on multiple staff to position your power source. Deployment is fast, safe, and efficient.

Dual-Socket Flexibility: 110V 32A and 230V 32A Outputs

Different tools and systems demand different power standards. The Pramac PX8000 includes one 110V 32A socket and one 230V 32A socket, giving you the flexibility to power a wide range of equipment, from European-standard tools to high-demand industrial appliances. One generator replaces multiple units, reducing clutter, cost, and logistical headaches.

AVR: Clean Power for Sensitive Equipment

Voltage spikes and drops can fry electronics, corrupt data, or damage machinery. The Pramac PX8000 includes Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), ensuring a stable power output regardless of load fluctuations. Your laptops, medical equipment, and precision tools stay safe.

The Pramac PX8000 in Action: Where Reliability Meets Reality

Construction Sites

Power tools, lighting, and temporary offices demand consistent energy. The PX8000’s 5.4kW output keeps drills, saws, and compressors running, while its low noise and portability ensure it doesn’t disrupt workflow or violate local regulations.

Emergency Response & Public Services

When storms knock out the grid, first responders and utilities need backup power they can trust. The SR190F engine’s durability and AVR technology guarantee uninterrupted operation, even in extreme conditions.

Events & Hospitality

Outdoor weddings, festivals, and corporate events rely on seamless power. The PX8000’s quiet operation and dual-socket flexibility ensure that lighting, sound systems, and catering equipment stay online, without disturbing the ambience.

Commercial & Industrial Backup

Businesses can’t afford downtime. Whether it’s a data centre, warehouse, or retail store, the PX8000 provides the muscle and reliability to bridge gaps in the grid, keeping critical systems operational.

Invest in Continuity, Not Just a Generator

The Pramac PX8000 5.4kW petrol generator isn’t an expense, it’s an insurance policy for your operations. With unmatched power, silent operation, and rugged reliability, it’s the last backup power source you’ll ever need. Whether you’re protecting revenue, ensuring safety, or maintaining compliance, this generator delivers the assurance that your operations won’t falter when the lights go out.

Maintenance and Storage

Routine maintenance is essential to ensure your generator continues to perform at its best. Regular oil changes, air filter inspections, and general servicing will help maximise reliability, efficiency, and engine lifespan.

If the generator is to be stored for an extended period, it is recommended to either drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops or use a suitable fuel stabiliser. This helps prevent fuel deterioration, carburettor blockages, and starting issues caused by stale petrol.

By following the recommended maintenance schedule and storage procedures, the Pramax PX8000 can provide many years of dependable service.

When will I receive my order?

In most cases, a product on our website will give you an indication of the current stock availability, but shipping is not uniform for all products. We maintain fantastic relationships with all of our suppliers and we aim to get products to customers within 3 business days of the order being taken. This availability is based on information from our suppliers and from sales and supply patterns. The availability information given is a guide only and not a guarantee as there are external factors that we may not have control over.

Coronavirus Update – UK couriers and transport companies will not currently guarantee delivery times and we are seeing a slight delay in deliveries – please bear this in mind when ordering.

Specialist Couriers – Some items such as the larger portable power stations are sent by specialist courier as standard couriers will not accept them. These specialist couriers are very reliable but sometimes don’t have tracking or timed delivery.

Split deliveries – We sometimes need to send orders for more than one item by different courier networks (portable power stations for example) – so you may receive items at different times.

1500rpm machines or larger diesel gensets however are typically priced on application and all depend on the destination. We will be happy to quote on any large diesel generator and discuss your needs over the phone or via email.

Most orders placed before 12pm on a business day will be shipped from our suppliers on the same day provided the product is in stock. If you need to be certain an item is in stock and available, or if you need a lead time, it’s worth calling our sales team on 01329 722390. Pricing for extended shipping areas like Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and outlying Islands, Outer Hebrides, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, and other postcodes not considered as UK mainland are calculated at the checkout or can be obtained by calling our offices.

Please note that the processing of a payment and acknowledgement email does not constitute a legally binding contract. In the case of mispricing, changes in stock quantity, or if we believe the machine will be misused, we reserve the right to cancel the order and provide a full refund.

Heavy Items

You will be contacted by phone after ordering a larger item to confirm a delivery date before your order is dispatched. Large or heavy items are dispatched through a pallet network, so if we can’t get in contact with you, we may be unable to send out your item on a next day delivery. Please be sure to include a working phone number with your order.

Heavy items will require the recipient to make arrangements to take delivery of the goods and may require the recipient to help the courier unload the item. For items that are delivered on a pallet the courier will leave the pallet as close to your door as possible.

1500rpm diesel generators will require forklift (or similar) offloading; if this is not available then we can arrange a Hiab offload at an additional price – please call us to discuss any delivery requirements.
