Excel Power XL2200i 2KW Inverter Generator

The Excel Power XL2200i inverter generator is the 2kW unit designed and supplied by UK brand Excel Power. It is the ‘go-to’ standard size of inverter generator and is offered as a more economical alternative to the Honda EU22i without losing too much quality you will still receive the same level of ‘main dealer’ support from Hampshire Generators. 

Lightweight and easy to use, this is a good choice of generator for leisure use, home backup or workshop use, power for areas of large gardens or light professional use.

Power Rating of the Excel Power XL2200i Generator

The XL2200i generator has a maximum rating of 2000W and a continuous rating of 1800W. This can power most items on a trip such as lighting, fridges, TV’s and charging all your devices. If you need more power or want some spare capacity then have a look at the Excel Power generators: XL3500i, XL4000ii even the biggest, grandest inverter generator available – the XL8000ii. Or if weight and space are at a premium then the smaller XL1400i is a good choice to keep the essentials charged and running.

The maximum rating of this XL2200i 2kW is the most this generator will provide for a short time to ‘start’ things. Some devices have a starting current that is higher than its running current so this allows for that*. This generator will run comfortably at 1.8kW as its ‘continuous’ rating but run it at a higher load and it will trip out.

The XL2200i has a UK standard 3 pin socket which means no adapters are required – this generator was designed in the UK for use in the UK! 

It also has a 12VDC ‘car style’ socket for powering low voltage devices.
